DT | HM will be included in The New Zealand Curriculum and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa from 2018.
The consultation process will run from 28 June to 31 August. We are particularly keen to hear from the education and technology sectors as well as parents, students and their whānau.
All submissions will be considered and reported back on later this year prior to the curriculum’s implementation at the beginning of 2018.
The curriculum will provide students and their parents, family, whānau and teachers a clear picture of what learning progression in Digital Technologies looks like. The curriculum will be flexible and responsive so schools can tailor their teaching programmes to suit the needs and aspirations of their students and communities.
There will be opportunities at workshops around the country to learn more and provide feedback over July and August 2017.
