The University of Auckland is working with the Ministry of Education on an exciting, new future-focused project that puts students in the driving seat of their learning. The ‘Student Learning Maps’ project will run from February – June 2015 and aims to:
- support students, teachers and families to use their learning maps to actively change their learning environments,
- build an understanding of how using the student learning map enables students to take active responsibility for their learning and make positive changes to their learning environments, and
- build our understanding of teacher, school leader, parent and whānau perspectives on how they can best support students in modern-day learning.
Dr. Brian Annan and his team are inviting interested schools to take part in this student engagement project.
