Mana Ake - Stronger for Tomorrow was established in March 2018 to support the wellbeing of children in school years 1-8 living with the legacy of earthquakes across Canterbury, Hurunui and Kaikoura.

The Mana Ake service was rolled out to schools in the Tamai (east Christchurch) and Uru Mānuka (Hornby) Kāhui Ako (Communities of Learning) on 30 April 2018.

We have between working collaboratively with the CDHB, Ministry of Health and a wide range of other organisations under the Canterbury Clinical Network to reach this point and will continue to work towards full implementation of ‘Mana Ake – Stronger for Tomorrow’ across Canterbury and Kaikoura schools.

From term 3, July 2018, Mana Ake will be progressively rolled out to all primary schools across Canterbury, Hurunui and Kaikoura (by geographic cluster).
