Kia Takatū ā-Matihiko | Digital Readiness is a nationwide $12 million programme which will provide an understanding of the new digital technologies content and useful teaching strategies, as well as the ability to be able to network with each other to gain ideas and insights, view explanatory videos, and train as a digital leader if desired.
Individuals can register and use the quick online tool to find out where to start their learning journey in order to come up to speed with teaching the new curriculum content. The programme will be useful for all levels of teaching capability.
This programme is part of a $38m package of initiatives to support the implementation of the new digital technologies content, which was released on 8 December 2017. Schools and kura are expected to be teaching the new content by 2020.
