As the Education (Vocational Education and Training) Amendment Act takes effect, New Zealand’s existing 16 Institutes of Technology & Polytechnics (ITPs) are brought together into one organisation.
This organisation, with a working title of New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology (NZIST), will provide on campus, on-the-job, and online vocational education and training right across the country. Visit their website to find out more about NZIST.
New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology
The NZIST is one of the seven key changes in the Reform of Vocational Education (RoVE) to create a strong, unified, sustainable system for all vocational education that delivers the skills that learners, employers and communities need to thrive.
For more information on the wider RoVE work, go to the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) website.
